The Short Version
What We Collect
- Email address — if you subscribe to our emails or contact us
- Purchase information — name, email, and order details when you buy something. Card details go directly to Stripe or Gumroad; we never see or store them
- AI tool account data — email and subscription status if you use clearbound.app, plus the content you submit to the tools so they can do their job
That's the list. We don't collect anything we don't need.
Free Tools Run Locally
The free tools on useclearbound.com — Scope Checker, Client Red Flag Scanner, Rate Reality Check, and the rest — run entirely in your browser with client-side JavaScript. Whatever you paste or type into them never leaves your device. The only exception is the optional email signup box, which sends only your email address.
How We Use Your Information
- Delivering products you've purchased and managing your subscription
- Sending emails you've opted into — you can unsubscribe with one click, anytime
- Responding when you contact us
- Understanding site traffic in aggregate, so we can improve the products
We never sell or rent your data to anyone, and we don't share it with third parties except the service providers below.
AI Tools & Your Content
When you use the ClearBound AI tools, the messages and details you submit are processed to generate your output — that's the entire purpose they're used for. Your content is not used to train AI models.
ClearBound Track stores the payment threads you choose to track, since that's what makes the tool work. You can delete tracked data from your account at any time.
Service Providers
We rely on a small set of services to run ClearBound. Each receives only what it needs:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Gumroad — payment and delivery for purchases made there
- MailerLite — email list management
- WP Engine — website hosting
- Supabase / Vercel — AI tool accounts and infrastructure
- Anthropic — AI processing for the subscription tools
Basic, aggregate analytics may be used to understand site traffic.
Your Rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Email us and we'll handle it — no forms, no runaround. Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA), these rights may also be guaranteed by law.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Material changes affecting subscribers will be announced by email.
